It was rumored last year that Thomas Keller might open a restaurant in the Downtown Miami Brickell area, but Miami.com's Twitter account says it's not happening. The tweet: "Not enough info for full post, but a big name chef, known globally, will eventually land at Mandarin Oriental. Thomas Keller got cold feet." So who's landing in Miami?
How about Heston Blumenthal? The British chef is "known globally," has a relationship with the Mandarin Oriental (his London restaurant Dinner is in a Mandarin Oriental), and is already rumored to be heading stateside. Miami is perhaps not the most predictable place for Blumenthal to end up, but it certainly seems possible. Any and all other guesses, to the comments.
