Television personality Curtis Stone — whose last stint in a professional kitchen appears to have been back in 2002 — has long hinted at getting back in the restaurant game. And today Eater LA breaks the news that Stone is in escrow to take over Pici Enoteca, a small Italian restaurant in Beverly Hills which shuttered late last year (see an Eater Inside of the space). Although unlikely, the deal could still fall through at the last second. No word on the potential name or other vitals.
Curtis Stone is probably best known in the US for his many television appearances: see TLC's Take Home Chef, Top Chef Masters, and the absolute turd that was Around the World in 80 Plates. Stone was on an episode of Top Chef last week. According to Max Silvestri, he made "weird fuck-talk about iceberg lettuce."
