Last night on the finale of Top Chef: Seattle, Kristen Kish beat out Brooke Williamson to win the title of "Top Chef." Kish, the chef de cuisine at Barbara Lynch's Boston demo kitchen and cookbook store Stir, had been eliminated earlier in the season but managed to beat out five people in Bravo's "Last Chance Kitchen" web series thing and get to the finale.
The episode was shot in a sort of bizarre live Iron Chef-like format in which the two had to cook in front of the show's judges, past winners, and other random people. Even Tom Colicchio wasn't a fan, tweeting: "I hear you out there you didn't like the format well neither did I and I doubt we will do that again." Said Kish after winning, "I'm gonna go back to work because I absolutely love it, and make myself a better person and make myself a better chef."
