The International Association of Culinary Professionals has announced the 2012 IACP Award Finalists, all of which are listed below. In the cookbook category, San Francisco chef Charles Phan comes out ahead with his Vietnamese Home Cooking getting two nods, for Chefs and Restaurants cookbooks as well as the Julia Child Award for First Book. Thomas Keller and Sebastien Rouxel are also finalists in two categories for Bouchon Bakery, also under Chefs and Restaurants as well as Food Photography and Styling. Yotam Ottolenghi and Sami Tamimi's Jerusalem was nominated in both Chefs and Restaurants and Photography and Styling as well.
As for the journalism awards, Saveur was a finalist in five categories including Short Video Series for their Ask the Experts. Food & Wine got two nods, for Writing about Beverages and Instructional Writing, and the late Gilt Taste was a finalist three times in two categories, with two pieces nominated under Best Culinary Writing With or Without Recipes and one under Culinary Travel or Memoir.
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in San Francisco on April 9 as part of IACP's 35th annual conference. Below, the full list of IACP Cookbook, journalism (the Bert Greene Awards), Digital Media, and Awards of Excellence finalists.
