In the midst of a lawsuit against Martha Stewart, Macy's has announced they've dropped Emeril Lagasse's cookware line from its 800 locations. Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, which is being sued by Macy's over violation of an exclusive contract thanks to a $282.9 million side deal with JCPenney, produces Lagasse's cookware.

Nevertheless, a spokesperson for Macy's says the decision to drop Lagasse was based on sales, and that it's a "pure coincidence" it happened during the Stewart/JCPenney trial. That said, Macy's did reveal the information in court. No word on whether Lagasse gets to continue on as a member of Macy's Culinary Council, although they do still have the photo of him in his snazzy Macy's whites on their website.
