grantland-on-the-taste-150.jpgAdd yet another to the list of television critics deriding Anthony Bourdain's new show The Taste. Grantland's Andy Greenwald writes that the "teeth-grindingly cringey" show goes against the orthodoxy that he always appreciated about Bourdain, who is now "defanged like an aging circus lion" alongside judges such as "[t]he impossibly plastic [Brian] Malarkey." Greenwald still has high hopes for Parts Unknown but concludes that The Taste is "a bland, underseasoned mess." [Grantland]
