The New Most Expensive Starbucks Drink Is $47.30

New, 21 comments

People just love breaking records, and what more exciting record is there to break than the world's most expensive Starbucks drink? Last year, a man went to Starbucks and ordered a ridiculous drink amounting to $23.60 with 16 shots of espresso and tons of other add-ons. One year later — almost exactly to the day — another brave man has shattered that record with a $47.30 Starbucks drink, the Quadriginoctuple Frap. Oh, and he filmed the whole process because that is how you preserve world records for posterity.

Yes, here is the video in which Beau Chevassus and the patient baristas at his local Washington State Starbucks make history. (Don't worry: Chevassus brought the baristas doughnuts for their troubles.) A seemingly amused barista rattles off Chevassus' order of a venti 48-shot mocha frappuccino soy mocha drizzle matcha powder protein powder caramel brulee topping, strawberry, two bananas, caramel drizzle frappuccino chips, vanilla bean... and then says, "I took you to 48 shots, is that okay?" It was definitely okay. Go watch.
