Brooklyn Brewery has taken its craft beer to France, a wine-loving country where it has long been notoriously difficult to market beer. Though "only 16 percent of French drinkers choose beer," sales of craft beer are up, and Brooklyn Brewery hopes to use its quality brews — and its name — make further inroads. As one French wine exporter says, "Parisians adore Brooklyn — they can't get enough of it. ... It's a brand on its own. It's America. It's New York." [NYT]
