Week In Reviews

the-ten-room-london.jpgObserver critic Jay Rayner files a harsh review for London's The Ten Room. It's not so much the food he hates — that element "is not spectacular, but nor is it bad" —but pretty much everything else. There's the service ("silly and pompous and haphazard"), decor ("The wall looks like a design feature from a self-consciously modernist men's loo. Frankly I didn't know whether to rest upon it or pee against it") and atmosphere ("you feel like you're listening to a disco full of young people exchanging rare strains of chlamydia"). [Observer]
