Chef Michel Roux Jr (of the two-Michelin star Le Gavroche, London) on the restaurant industry and female chefs: "There are still unfortunately some places that are living in the Dark Ages and think the kitchen is a male bastion... If you look at my kitchen for example, La Gavroche, my head chef is Rachel, who has been with me for 16 years. My sous chef is Monica and I have another sous chef called Renee. My professional kitchen is run by females." [Telegraph][Photo: Ben Sutherland/Flickr]
