Pastry chef and celebrated Cronut creator Dominique Ansel has revealed his latest Willy Wonka concoction: a cold "Christmas Cereal" using the bakery's signature Mini-Me's meringues as a marshmallow topping. Serious Eats brings first word of the new dish, which also features Valrhona Caramelia chocolate puffed rice (described as a "caramelized milk chocolate with a distinct dulce de leche flavor"), caramelized hazelnuts, and the Mini-Me's in a smoked cinnamon flavor. (Valrhona chocolate pops up elsewhere on the Ansel Bakery menu this month, as December's official Cronut flavor.)

The bakery's official site encourages traditional styles of eating (in a bowl, with cold milk) or using the "Christmas Cereal" as a topping for ice cream. But don't expect to find it next to the Cheerios anytime soon: The cereal is only available via pick-up at Ansel's NYC bakery.
