Vice's associate news editor Dave Schilling sat-in at a Los Angeles McDonald's to observe the fast-food workers protest. At the Silver Lake location, Schilling observes a mix of "sympathetic liberal activists," a van full of kids bussed from elsewhere, and a handful of workers asking that "our demands are met." While employees working during the protest "were told not to speak to journalists," they do mention that none of those picketing outside actually worked at the specific McD's location. [Vice]
