Ron Burgundy-Branded Scotch Is a Thing That Exists

Photo: Riviera Imports

The promotional blitz for Will Ferrell's upcoming Anchorman 2 continues in full force, this time with a blended Scotch whisky inspired by Ferrell's newscaster alter-ego Ron Burgundy (famously a lover of "Scotchy, scotch, scotch"). Riviera Imports — which is also behind brands like Molly's Irish Cream and Pride & Clarke Vodka — has unleashed "Great Odin's Raven Special Reserve," a blended Scotch whisky featuring a "60% malt and 40% grain blend by Old St. Andrews Distillery." The bottle is prominently emblazoned with Ron Burgundy's name (no photo), but for interested wholesale accounts, "every order will be shipped with stand-up displays of Ron Burgundy."

Booze isn't the only thing Burgundy's selling this holiday season. Earlier this Fall, Ben & Jerry's launched an Anchorman-themed ice cream that also involves Scotch: The "Scotchy Scotch Scotch" features butterscotch ice cream with butterscotch swirl. Perhaps a boozy Scotchy Burgundy milkshake would be the classiest way to consume both?
