Washington Post critic Tom Sietsema files an unstarred review of Villard Michel Richard in NYC after a subpar dining experience that included a major reservation screw up in which a manager "avoids eye contact with me, and it is only when I am recognized as a critic" that it is corrected. Of DC chef Michel Richard's first NYC restaurant, Sietsema writes, "this is not especially beautiful or memorable cooking ... Fans of the four-star Citronelle are likely to be disappointed." [WaPo]
