CT Starbucks Customers 'Pay It Forward' 1,468 Times

Christmas must really be over because the multi-day pay-it-forward chain at a Newington, CT Starbucks drive-thru finally came to an end this weekend, NBC Connecticut reports. The chain began on the morning of Christmas Eve, with customers paying for the drinks of the car behind them. A Starbucks employee tells NBC that the chain ended on Saturday evening. All in, some 1,468 customers participated and employees are hoping something similar happens next holiday season.
