Times Square Applebee's Charging $375 for NYE Dinner

Both Times Square-ish locations of spinach-dipped chain Applebee's are celebrating New Year's Eve in style: with a $375 "night to remember" party featuring "a ton of food." According to the Wall Street Journal's MarketWatch, the entry fee includes an open bar, access to the "chef's selection buffet" (with steak and lobster), live entertainment and dancing, and a Champagne toast at midnight. Guests will also be allowed to filter downstairs for the Times Square shenanigans, but an Applebee's rep stresses to the WSJ that a view of the ball drop is not guaranteed (thanks to pesky "NYPD approval").

For big spenders who may not be into Triple Chocolate Meltdowns or mozzarella sticks, there's also this nearby option: a $10,000 per couple steakhouse dinner at Empire Steak House, a mere three blocks away from Applebee's W. 50th Street location. Is New Year's Eve truly the second-most shitshowy restaurant day? Probably.
