Arsonists Hit Another Restaurant in Montreal

It seems another restaurant has fallen victim to attacks from arsonists in Montreal. Eater Montreal reports that a three alarm fire brought firefighters to the unfortunately-named Fuego kosher steakhouse in the early hours of Monday morning. Reports from CTV News suggest that the arson squad has found signs that the fire was deliberately set. The fire chief tells the Montreal Gazette that he estimates damages to the restaurant and building to total $200,000 (roughly $188,000 USD).

Fuego is the latest in a string of restaurants to be hit by arsonists in Montreal, many of which are also kosher. Back in June the kosher Asian-fusion restaurant Chops Resto Bar was firebombed twice in three days. Also in June, a kosher cafe called Café Shalom was firebombed. Montreal restaurant Sel Gras was only open a week before being set ablaze in September, and the owners are now rebuilding. Global Montreal has video from the scene of the fire below, have a look:
