Tonight in Toronto, chef Alexandra Feswick is throwing The Dinner Party, "fundraising event that celebrates female culinary talent in Toronto and beyond." Over at the National Post there's a Q&A with some of the participating female chefs. And of course Time's "Gods of Food issue and Eater's Q&A with editor Howard Chua-Eoan comes up. Said The Dock Ellis chef Trish Gill: "If Time had taken extra care and maybe asked different questions, one could have been, 'why are there no female chefs on this list?' And really talk about the disparaging reality that is the professional kitchen." [NP]
