Cookbook person/patent enforcer Nathan Myhrvold was on Charlie Rose last week to promote his latest book The Photography of Modernist Cuisine last week. Myhrvold tells Rose about his long-time interest in photography, explaining that the goal of the book is to "show people a vision of food they haven't seen before." Calling cooking the "only science experiment we all do on a regular basis," Myhrvold continues on to discuss the importance of understanding the science of food, why he isn't going to become a vegan, the state of the patents "arms race," and some of the other projects he's working on like a vaccine container.
