Restaurateur Daniel Boulud has pulled a switcheroo at Las Vegas' Venetian, swapping out his original plan to open a DBGB Kitchen & Bar in favor of opening a resurrected version of DB Brasserie instead. Eater Vegas confirms the change of plans with Boulud's publicist, who says the chef plans an "updated version" of the Brasserie, which had a Vegas outpost from 2005 to 2010 inside the Wynn Las Vegas. Chef Dave Middleton will oversee the kitchen, offering "seasonal French cuisine and signature brasserie dishes with a modern twist."
In May, Boulud held a press conference to announce his 2014 return to Las Vegas, saying, "Vegas is certainly one of the best town's in the world, bringing the world's best talents. I think that's why I'm always attracted by Vegas." DB Brasserie is planning to open "at the end of March or beginning of April."
