Here's a video from chef Homaro Cantu that demonstrates how his Michelin-starred Chicago restaurant Moto uses a robotic laser to write on food. Looking past the part where Cantu personally takes reservations on his cell phone from his "lair," the video goes on to show how in Moto's kitchen a laser is used to customize guest experiences. Think menus printed on seaweed and questions written on squash. The video ends with another stop-motion animation of a Cantu recipe, this time of roasted squash soup. Go, watch:
