Morimoto Wire

62550_119013278153327_7418156_n.jpgHere's just a delightfully bizarre Q&A with Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto (there's probably something lost in translation). In response to the question: "Cronuts—do those things work?," Morimoto replied: "...You want your customer to taste foam, powder, nitrogen-cooked food—if the customer looks at his plate and thinks what's going on here, what does the chef want me to taste, what is the point? Your plate should not be an amusement park. Do people really want Mickey Mouse, Goofy on their plate? But maybe these days that kind of busy food is getting popular." [Livemint][Photo: Facebook]
