Behold Photos from the Opening of Eataly Chicago

Photo: @ChicagosMayor

At 4p.m. CST today, Mario Batali and Joe Bastianich swung the doors open at their insanely anticipated Eataly Chicago, the 63,000-square-foot Italian emporium with its very own Nutella bar. Unsurprisingly, lines formed around the block pre-opening, and first-day visitors obsessively Tweeted, Instagrammed, and social media-ed everything from the Chicago Bulls-shaped loaves of bread to the kitchen staff to the Rahm Emanuel sightings (the Chicago mayor was officially Eataly's first customer, presumably getting to skip the line).
