McDonald's France Launches American Novelty Burgers

McDonald's France has launched a Breads & America promotion that features burgers on "American Breads" and a series of ads in which Americans bully unsuspecting Frenchmen into giving up their hamburgers. First, the sandwiches themselves: There is the Grand Bagel Cheese, which is basically a cheeseburger on a bagel. (Sure, why not.) Then there is the Double Cornbread BBQ, which is served on cornbread which Brand Eating says is topped with corn chips. (While maybe not traditional, there are few things more American than throwing a bunch of chips on something.) And then there is the Shiny Double Bacon, which, um, has a shiny bun. (Again, sure, why not.)

The ads, as previously mentioned, feature three separate Americans using their American wiles — sexiness, being loud, sports — to bully the French into giving up their hamburgers. One features a Baywatch-esque lifeguard in a red swimsuit, and another a Super Troopers-y group of motorcycle cops. The third features a hockey player, which, come on. That's Canada, guys. Anyway, bullying + shiny bread + police on motorocycles = America. Watch the ads below:
