France exported some €1.36 billion ($1.84 billion) in foie gras last year, an all time high. This is good news for the Ministry of Finance but bad news for French shoppers looking to purchase foie, 180-gram tins of which have creeped up to €22 this holiday season ($30.25). France is the world's biggest foie consumer and exporter. [Quartz]
