Three Michelin-star chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten may beclosing his only Boston restaurant, but he's on an expansion tear in New York City. Shortly after announcing plans to open Cocina Tacos by Jean-Georges at Madison Square Garden, Vongerichten tells The New Potato that he is planning to open a new restaurant this Spring. The New York City restaurant will join his growing ABC empire (with restaurants like ABC Kitchen and ABC Cocina) and will be "100% vegetarian, raw, and vegan." Vongerichten recently opened his first market concept ABCMKT in New York City, which sells linens, plates, and packaged artisan foods and pantry items. Vongerichten says he will be making jams under the ABC label too, so do keep an eye out for those.
