Michelin season is in full swing, and today the guide has announced the 2014 Bib Gourmands for Chicago. The list highlights restaurants that offer excellence at a good value (defined as $40 or less for two courses and a glass of wine or dessert). Eater Chicago has the full list, but the 21 new entries include bellyQ, Fat Rice, Juno, and Lula Cafe, which had previously fallen off the list.
16 restaurants have been taken off the list including The Bristol, Untitled, Storefront Company, Bistronomic, Savoy, Ann Sather, and City Tavern. Restaurants that have been removed due to closure include Maison, Urban Union, and West Town Tavern.
The total number of Bib Gourmands this year is 69, up from 64 last year. The 2014 Michelin stars for Chicago will be revealed on November 12.
