NJ Family Stiffs Server and Former Marine for Being Gay

A family at Gallop Asian Bistro in Bridgewater, NJ stiffed their server, leaving a self-righteous note instead of a tip. According to the Gay Star News, server Dayna Morales is a former Marine who waited on a couple and their children, presenting them with a $93.55 bill at the end of the meal. When she didn't receive a tip, Morales shared the receipt with the LGBT group Have a Gay Day, who posted it to their Facebook page yesterday.

The note on the receipt reads: "I'm sorry but I cannot tip because I do not agree with your lifestyle & the way you live your life." Morales is quoted by Have a Gay Day saying she's "offended mad pissed off and hurt" and that "NEVER in a million years did [she] think this would happen." This isn't the first time in recent memory a server has been stiffed because of their sexual orientation. Just last month a server in Kansas was denied a tip and left with a note saying his "homosexual lifestyle is an affront to God." And do check out Bill Maher's rant against Christians stiffing servers from earlier this week.

UPDATE 11/26: It appears that the receipt might be a hoax. A couple has come forward with a time-stamped receipt and credit card statements they claim prove they did leave a tip and that they did not leave any such note.
