NEW ORLEANS— Chef John Besh is the latest to jump on the "curated subscription box" train with the launch of BeshBox, a subscription service that sees Besh hand-selecting the culinary items in each shipment. Besh tells the Times-Pic each box features tools, ingredients, and pantry items that tie into his popular line of cookbooks. More information here. []

LAS VEGAS— Chefs representing many of Las Vegas' top restaurants will go head-to-head in the annual "Culinary Clash" at the Venetian Las Vegas, scheduled for December 13 and 14. Emeril Legasse serves as master of ceremonies during the two-day event, which sees chefs cooking up baskets of mystery ingredients in a tournament-style competition.
