Modernist Cuisine at Home, Now in Handy App Form

Culinary science wizard/patent enforcer Nathan Myhrvold strikes again: Just over a year after the release of his very large cookbook Modernist Cuisine at Home, Myhrvold and the Modernist Cuisine team announce that the book is now available in digital form. In collaboration with Inkling, Myhrvold's team has created an app available on iPhones, iPads, and on the web. Along with 416 recipes and 1,683 high-res photos (359 of which can't be found in the book), the digital edition features a recipe finder, a shopping list feature, technique videos, and a yield converter allowing users to scale recipes based on how many people they're cooking for.

The full edition (available from the App Store, Inkling.com, and the Inkling in-App store) is $79.99, and each chapter is $4.99. For a limited time "registered owners" of the print version can get the digital edition at 50% off using a code they'll receive in an email. Check out photos from the app and a video teaser below:
