One of the Fall's most anticipated food events, this year's Capital Food Fight in DC was the 10th anniversary of the D.C. Central Kitchen benefit event. Eater DC was on the scene last night and reports "it was the biggest Food Fight to date" with "the irreplaceable and never-quiet" José Andrés and "'Hoty hoo'-yelling" Carla Hall of The Chew hosting the Iron Chef-style live competition for local chefs. The competition was judged by Tom Colicchio, Rick Bayless, Art Smith, and Todd English. The judges squared off against each other for a quick cooking competition of their own, with Andrés asking English: "What did you feel, cracking an egg for the first time in 10 years?" Other highlights included: a cake battle judged by Duff Goldman, plenty of DC vs. Baltimore rivalry, and Woodberry Kitchen's Spike Gjerde taking home the win.
