Next Reveals First Menu for 2014: Chicago Steakhouse

Chicago's always-changing restaurant Next has confirmed the not-so-unfounded rumor that its next concept will indeed focus on the "Chicago Steakhouse." Theme-master Grant Achatz tells Food & Wine the menu will focus on the traditional, Mad-Men-style American steakhouse experience, or "what it was really like to eat in the early 1950s, when a steak house was almost more of a club." (Presumably, not a gentleman-only club.)

Starting in early January, expect Next to reflect the old-school steakhouse vibe, with a menu featuring Achatz's molecular takes on wedge salads, lobster Thermidor, and oysters Rockefeller. Tickets go on sale "after Thanksgiving."
