First Look: François Payard's Desserts Cookbook

Here's Payard Desserts, a collection of composed, plated desserts from throughout pastry chef François Payard's career. Co-authored by food writer Tish Boyle and with photography from Rogério Voltan, the book contains recipes from Payard's training in France, through his time as pastry chef at Daniel, to his current Payard Pâtisserie creations. While there are often several components that go into each dish, the component recipes are (perhaps deceptively) simple. If plating desserts at home isn't your thing, a coconut sorbet or a caramelized fig garnish seem easy enough to pull out for simpler fare.
