Police in Duluth, Georgia arrested a 19-year-old man Sunday morning after he crashed his truck through the dining room of a local Taco Bell — then proceeded to drive "around the corner of the restaurant and crashed into the building for a second time."
According to police, Armando Lupercio — who reportedly blew a Breathalyzer number of 0.142, higher than the 0.08 legal limit — then struck the building and nearby cars "several times." When stopped by police, Lupercio claimed the truck's gas pedal had gotten stuck, but despite the excuse, he was charged with driving under the influence and aggravated assault. Local news station WSBTV reports that the Taco Bell in question is still "partially open" after the incident. Lupercio, meanwhile, remains in jail on $46,000 bond.
