Chicago's Lula Cafe Is 'House of Human' for Halloween

Photos: Lula Cafe /

In its grand tradition of dressing up as a different restaurant for Halloween, Chicago's Lula Cafe will be operating as House of Human tonight. Eater Chicago reports that the restaurant will be partnering with chef Abraham Conlon's restaurant Fat Rice to create a "zombie-run dim sum restaurant." The menu will feature dim sum and cocktails and the tagline of the night ("serving people") apparently comes from Chicago restaurant Lao Hunan. Entrance is $35 (plus gratuity), and reservations aren't accepted. Real Kitchen is also getting in on the Halloween action this year, transforming itself into Grant Achatz's Alinea. Get to it, Chicago Halloween lovers.
