With yesterday's passing of musical pioneer Lou Reed, the NYT checks in with the chefs of restaurants where Reed was a regular. Both EN Japanese Brasserie's Reika Alexander and David Bouley report making special menus for Reed's dietary restrictions. Says Bouley of making a special dessert for Reed: "I told him, Lou, you're still crossing over to the wild side and having dessert. He wouldn't have one. He would have two." [NYT]
