Welcome to the photo series Eater Scenes, in which Eater photographers visit some of the country's great restaurants to capture them at a certain, and very specific, point in the day. Here now, Rey Lopez at Pappy's Smokehouse in St. Louis, MO.

Lines have been winding out the door at Pappy's Smokehouse ever since its 2008 opening in St. Louis, Missouri. Pappy's specializes in ribs that come slow smoked over apple and cherry wood, but they've also got everything else from pulled pork to brisket to burnt ends on this menu. Named best new restaurant and best barbecue its first year in business, Pappy's continues to pull in the crowds in part thanks to appearances on TV shows from Man v. Food and The Chew. Below, a look at the scene at 2 p.m. on a Friday:
