Police in Kentucky are looking to the public to help identify a "person of interest" in the Pappy Van Winkle heist case. Last week it was reported that over $25,000 worth of the cultishly beloved Pappy Van Winkle's Family Reserve 20 Year bourbon was stolen from the Buffalo Trace Distillery, with police suspecting it might have been an inside job. The folks over at Bourbon Blog speak with the Franklin County Sheriff who says that the man in the video footage below stopped by a Hardin County liquor store and offered to sell "a large quantity" of Pappy Van Winkle 20 year. The man is being called a person of interest, the idea being that he might be attempting to "off-load" the stolen bourbon, as he is not a distributor. Bourbon Blog notes that the liquor store where this man was spotted is about two hours away from the Buffalo Trace Distillery. Below, the video footage:
