Watch Triumph the Insult Comic Dog Mock Beer Nerds

Hillary Dixler Canavan is Eater's restaurant editor and the author of the publication's debut book, Eater: 100 Essential Restaurant Recipes From the Authority on Where to Eat and Why It Matters (Abrams, September 2023). Her work focuses on dining trends and the people changing the industry — and scouting the next hot restaurant you need to try on Eater's annual Best New Restaurant list.

Last night on Conan Triumph the Insult Comic Dog visited the Great American Beer Festival, the microbrew expo in Denver, Colorado. Triumph explains that every year "hundreds of people come to beer festivals like this one to see what it's like to not drink alone" before proceeding to mock various festival-goers and microbrewers for their facial hair, beer bellies, and pretentiousness, forcing several to drink from a 40 of cheap beer. Triumph contributes his own suggestions for new microbrew names like "All the Good Hobbies Were Taken Lager," "This Why I'm Morbidly Stout Stout," and "Start a Fight with Your Lawn Jockey Ale." He also notes that the gender breakdown at the expo is heavily male and says he's "seen a better male to female ratio at the Vatican." The festival being in Colorado, there's also a trip to a marijuana vendor. Go, watch:
