Are you ready for pie season? The bakers behind Brooklyn's Four & Twenty Blackbirds Pie Shop, sisters Emily Elsen and Melissa Elsen, have got your back with their first-ever cookbook, The Four & Twenty Blackbirds Pie Book. And these are (mostly) not your grandmother's pie recipes: the Elsens make strawberry balsamic pie, sweet corn custard pie, salted caramel apple pie, and green chile chocolate pie that have pie-lovers lining up outside their shop for holiday (and every day) desserts. The photography is by Gentl & Hyers, the team behind cookbooks like The Zuni Cafe Cookbook and last year's winner of the JBFA Cookbook of the Year, Gran Cocina Latina. The Four & Twenty Blackbirds Pie Book is out from Grand Central Life & Style on October 29 (pre-order on Amazon); take a look inside below.
