Frankenfood Now Casting; Chefs Take NY Pride Pledge

THE INTERNET— Spike TV is now casting for its just-announced culinary competition, Frankenfood (which features NYC chef Josh Capon as host). According to the casting notice, producers at Sharp Entertainment are "searching for food lovers across America with EXTREME food creations" — and amateur cooks are welcome. NEW YORK— In a partnership with Governor Andrew Cuomo, several New York-state chefs have signed onto a "Pride of New York Pledge," committing to sourcing an addition 10 percent of their ingredients from in-state purveyors and artisans. PARIS— An all-female-chef lineup is on-tap for Le Fooding's upcoming "Le Clan des Madones" culinary event, scheduled for November 15 to 17.
