Shake Shack's Custard Contest; Savor Borgata in AC

THE INTERNET— The burger empire builders at Shake Shack have launched an online contest encouraging fans to "Create-Your-Own-Custard." The winner gets to collaborate with the Shack's culinary director Mark Rosati to make the flavor available (for one month) in Shack locations nationwide. Some of the "dream flavors" currently suggested: "Italian Sausage and Pepperoni Pizza" and "Red Bean Mochi." [Facebook]

ATLANTIC CITY— TV chefs Bobby Flay and Michael Symon are the headliners at the Borgata Hotel's annual "Savor" event, scheduled for November 8 to 10 at the New Jersey resort. Tickets to the kick-off welcome reception are sold out, but access is still available to seminars, tastings, and the "Street Eats" event, featuring tastes by Flay, Symon, Michael Schulson, Greg and Marc Sherry, and Thomas Biglan, among others.
