Chef José Andrés's Los Angeles chef's counter, SAAM at the Bazaar, will celebrate white truffle season with its second-annual all-truffle menu, featuring a whopping 16 courses dedicated to the fungus. Andrés himself won't be cooking the dinners — that'll be left up to R&D chef Aitor Lozano and executive chef Joshua Whigham — but the dishes (each paired with a cocktail) sound appropriately fancy: expect a boozy "Truffle Mist" with rum, pomegranate and mezcal to arrive with a "Cotton Candy Truffle Dumpling" featuring something called "brioche air."
The special menu is available on Thursday-Saturday evenings from October 23 to November 23, and this year's line-ups represents a step up from last's, which featured a mere 15 courses. Reservations are $325, with optional wine pairings for $150 to $300.
