Part three in today's media madness: Today the Voice Media Group announced that the sale of SF Weekly to the San Francisco Newspaper Company (publisher of the Examiner and the Bay Guardian). Also, Seattle Weekly was sold to Sound Publishing, a publisher of 38 titles in Washington state. Layoffs are rumored in SF, and what this means for their food sections, food blogs, and restaurant critics remains to be seen. [VMG via Eater SF]
