New year, new look for Hooters, as the women-oriented hot wing chain unveiled a prototype remodel in Houston, Texas. What's new? Exposed ceilings, bigger seats (for bigger butts?), cypress wood paneling, a glowing purple bar, and more padding in the booths. What's the same? "Many" televisions for watching the game, and, you know, Hooters ladies and their cleavage. No word on when other Hooters will get similar makeovers, but the press release below calls it "a prototype for future Hooters locations."

Hooters Unveils New Contemporary Restaurant Design

Houston, Texas, Hooters fans invited to celebrate first-of-its-kind remodel

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Hooters of America, LLC today unveiled a fresh, completely remodeled look for its Hooters of Kirby restaurant location in Houston, Texas. With a new interior and exterior design featuring sleek and contemporary finishes and a more comfortable dining experience, the rebuild of this 20-year-old restaurant location will serve as a prototype for future Hooters locations.

This first-of-its-kind remodel will be celebrated on Wednesday, Jan. 23 with a variety of festivities to showcase the new restaurant, including a ribbon-cutting event from 4-4:30 p.m. Central, a Sip 'n See VIP party to follow, as well as food and drink specials and a customer iPad Mini giveaway. The recently appointed 2013 Hooters Girl of the Year Rachel Fashing will also sign autographs, along with Hooters Calendar Girls.

"Hooters is exceptionally proud to reveal this design concept, reinvigorating the look and feel of our traditional restaurants without losing the essence of our iconic brand that the world has loved for 30 years," said Dave Henninger, chief marketing officer, Hooters of America. "Hooters is turning 30 this year, so it seems only fitting to refresh and modernize our restaurants during this milestone anniversary. Based on initial feedback from our local Hooters customers, they are celebrating this remodel as the ideal environment to kick-back and relax after work, get together to watch their favorite sports team and enjoy a delicious meal with their family."

Hooters guests who visit the newly redesigned location will experience a variety of design elements that will surely keep them comfortably seated for hours enjoying Hooters world-famous wings and catching a game on many large, high-definition televisions. The high exposed ceiling, painted ductwork and cypress wood walls give a more open and brighter appearance, and materials such as light colored face brick provide texture throughout the space.

Guests will also benefit from a more centrally located and prominently placed bar, complemented with swiveled bar stools for ease and comfort. And speaking of comfort, the Hooters of Kirby location also features new booth seating and high-back chairs at all tables with an enhanced seat size and added padding.

Hooters of Kirby is located at 2519 Southwest Freeway in Houston, Texas. To view photos of the remodel, visit the Hooters of Kirby Facebook page at www.facebook.com/HootersKirby.
