Amy McKeever IN as Senior Editor; Full-Time Editor Wanted at Eater D.C.

The last long weekend of summer has come and gone, thus it's time for some back-to-school announcements here at Eater. First, we're thrilled to announce four new Eater editors who've joined the fold: Katie Abbondanza, the new editor of Eater Charleston; Whitney Filloon, the new editor of Eater Dallas; Gwendolyn Knapp , the new editor of Eater NOLA; and Chelsea Olson, the new editor of Eater Miami. A big welcome aboard to each of them.

More integral to the Eater National mission is the news that Amy McKeever, the skilled reporter and restaurant obsessive who founded Eater D.C. in March 2011, is planning to transition into the newly created role of Eater National Senior Editor, trading her obsessions with local openings, closings, and D.C.-area chef shuffles for a larger purview of the entire national restaurant scene. The new job becomes effective October 1.

As McKeever moves to make her mark on the national food world, we're looking for some fresh blood to take over the reins over at Eater D.C. Which brings us to this: Are you obsessed with restaurants, chefs, news, gossip, and drama that goes hand in hand with the high-stakes Washington D.C. restaurant and nightlife world? Would you like a full time job with competitive salary, health care, and a company-matched 401k? And are you based in Washington, D.C.?

If so, write us a paragraph about yourself (omitting stories of childhood food memories svp) and a paragraph about why you think you're right for the job and email it to with the subject line "Eater DC Editor." If you've got a personal blog, Tumblr, or Twitter, include links to those as well. No resumes, please. If we like what we see, we'll follow up quickly.
