It seems that Michelin accidentally leaked some of their 2013 UK stars a week early. Oops. The British restaurant world freaked out on Twitter this morning as some restaurants on the Michelin website suddenly had stars where there had not been stars before. After much speculation about the veracity of the new stars, and whether it was a tech mistake or a deliberate PR leak, Michelin clarified to Bloomberg's Richard Vines that the leaked results may not be the complete 2013 results. Michelin was, they claim, "caught on the hop."
Apparently this is not the first time the UK results have been leaked. In 2009, the press release was leaked online, and in 2010 Amazon accidentally sent the guide to Scottish chef Paul Kitching a week early. Below, what British media managed to assemble before Michelin pulled the leak from their website. The officially official results will be announced October 4.

According to Bloomberg, London restaurants Alyn Williams at the Westbury, Dabbous, Medlar, Hedone, Launceston Place, St. John Soho, Tom Aikens and Trishna have all been awarded one star, as has Heston Blumenthal's pub Hinds Head in Bray. Pierre Gagnaire's Sketch (The Lecture Room) in London, L'Enclume in Cartmel and Michael Wignall at the Latymer in Bagshot have all been awarded a second star. The UK's three star restaurants — Blumenthal's Fat Duck, Gordon Ramsay, Alain Ducasse and Waterside Inn — all maintained their rankings.
Petersham Nurseries Cafe keeps one star despite a major chef shuffle earlier this year, reports Caterer and Hotelkeeper. Additional new one stars include Alimentum in Cambridge, Paul Ainsworth at Number Six Restaurant in Cornwall, and Thackeray's Restaurant in Kent. The restaurant at Coworth Park, a luxury hotel in Berkshire, lost their star.
It also seems that Locks Brasserie in Portobello in Dublin has been awarded one star, the only star for Ireland that was leaked.
