Yelpers Torn On Rating CA Wife-Cooker's Restaurant

Los Angeles-area Yelpers struggled with using their discerning palates to rate a restaurant cheffed by a guy who has confessed to police that he slow-cooked his own wife. Chef David Viens, of the now-shuttered Thyme Cafe in Lomita, is currently on trial for his wife's murder, and it seems Yelpers have had trouble separating the man, the slow-cooked wife and the Thyme Cafe fare. Buzzfeed screen-captured some reviews, revealing a murky picture: folks leave "RIP" messages for Dawn Vien and praise the food and the service, but that whole wife-killing thing doesn't go over so well. Writes one poster: "Better to have an empty storefront than support the friendly neighborhood killer."

As Buzzfeed notes, the creepiest thing of all may be that "it's unclear where the chef cooked his wife."
