A New York man was sentenced to up to 56 years in prison yesterday for a string of restaurant thefts that involved tunneling through walls to steal hamburgers, booze, cash and computers. Among the targets? Kyotofu, whose manager explains the man "crept into the Ninth Avenue restaurant through a basement door, which he reached through an adjoining apartment building. Once inside, he filled two insulated food delivery bags with bottles of Jameson's, sake and 'a large slab of pork belly.'" [NYT]
