Noted space farming expert, drunk driver, and Iron Chef Cat Cora opened her third airport restaurant, Cat Cora's Kitchen, yesterday in the Salt Lake City International Airport's Concourse B (the other two are in San Francisco International and Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston). The Salt Lake Tribune was on the scene of the grand opening and quoted a traveler as saying, "I was so happy when I came down the escalator and saw this."
On deck at the restaurant: "high-end comfort food made with healthy ingredients and low-calorie preparations." Which means things like an egg white scramble with Feta cheese or a grilled Angus New York Strip Steak with lobster mac and cheese ($31). Cat Cora predicted that her "beautiful, healthy gourmet" airport restaurant will do nothing less than "change the landscape of American eating." (Cora has also predicted that the future of food will include "android robots" and "assistant avatars.") Watch out Atlanta, because your airport is next.
